Sauna Cleaning & Maintenance Schedule
Saunas require very little maintenance if designed correctly. Here is our checklist for keeping your spa hygienic and working efficiently.
Monthly cleaning and wood scrubbing
Mix water with a mild, oxygen-based wood cleaner. Scrub benches with a nylon brush to remove sweat stains. Rinse with clean water and leave the door open with the heater on low to dry.
Caring for sauna steam stones
Over time, stones crack under rapid heating. Inspect your heater stones annually. Remove cracked, small pieces and re-stack stones loosely to maintain proper convection airflow.
